Turtle encounter

Grass flats play an important role in marine wildlife. Especially for young fish these parts of the ocean play a viral role. Protected from big predators and strong currents thousands of creatures inhabit these shallows. From young black tip sharks to nudibranches and from puffer fish seeking for shelter to foraging green turtles – sandflats are a vibrant habitat. Here are a few shots of green turtles – really cool creatures – taken in the Maldives.
