Over the course of the last years Marc has worked for film-productions and produced quite a few films himself. Among his clients are Nationalparks Austria, Nationalpark Thayatal, Nationalpark Kalkalpen, Nationalpark Gesäuse, ORF, Servus TV, Wiener Wildnis and official insitutions that either use film-material for their own productions or image-trailers fully produced by Marc.

Among his specialities are wide-angle photo-traps with high resolution DSLR cameras, timelapse photography and 4K drone video-material.

Film & Timelapse

Besides still photography Marc gaines a lot of experience in filming wildlife and natural phenomena while spending time outdoors. He has contributed footage to big TV productions such as the Austrian production "Land der grünen Grenzen / UNIVERSUM" in 2015 and recently to the famous Austrian series "HEIMATLEUCHTEN - Thayatal" in 2017 produced by SERVUS TV.
Furthermore, he also produces shorts, image-films and trailers himself. Since 2012 he produced the official trailer of Austria's Thayatal nationalpark and many shorts on specific wildlife topics for Austrian nationalparks and other institutions. Together with his partner Christine he is regularly working on short films about Austria's nature such as a 7 part short film series with a focus on kids about the importance of Austrian nationalparks for the next generation (published 2017) and produced the content for the exhibition area in the nationalpark centre of NP Thayatal in Hardegg/Merkersdorf, Austria.
Within the multimedia project "Wiener Wildnis" about wildlife in the city of Vienna (project of Popp-Hackner photography) he was responsible for film timelapse productions. The Austrian Zoo Vienna opened a large exhibtion about climate change and the polar regions in 2015. Marc contributed photo material but also timelapse material about northern lights that can be seen on large screen in the zoo'spolar exhibition.

Tours & Workshops

Marc hosts photo-workshops and photographic holidays. His working philosophy in both is to produce less material but of higher quality. Therefore, you will learn how to work more effective towards your personal "photo-vision".

His photo-tours (operated by ARR Natur und Kulturreisen) generally last from 7 to 12 days and will take up to 12 people max. Up to now he toured locations such as India, the Everglades, northern Norway, Iceland, Scotland, Oman, Andalucia and the volcanos of southern Italy. A Photo-tour is not understood as a photo-course - it is much more about having more time on lesser places while being accompanied by a photo-pro answering your questions and giving you a helping hand with implementing your own photographic ideas.

The photo-workshops (operated by Wiener Fotoschule & Canon Academy Austria on the other hand range from basic photographic understandings to specials and advanced insights into specific technics and generally last for one or two days.
